I have therapists who have helped me, but only Jesus healed me of the inner issues I’ve dealt with (and still do).

THIS IS an event that helps people learn how to invite Jesus into past issues so they can grasp a better future.

1 HUMEROUS SETUP

Every FREEDOM SUNDAY message starts out with a humorously engaging true story. Whether it’s the story of when I was on a plane that was on fire as a kid (yes that happened), or when I ran over a deer while on a ministry trip (yup), or just sharing about my disastrous dating life, the goal is to start off light so people can engage.

2 PRACTICAL PREACHING

Getting into the Word serves two main purposes: first to show that emotions, feelings, and trauma are regularly expressed in the Bible (even by Jesus). While then secondly going to the Word as the guide and instructions of how to deal with those events that caused people’s feelings and traumas.

3 GUIDED PRAYER

The end is where everything comes together in a ten minute guided prayer time where people are taken step by step through their most pressing past issue and, with Jesus, walking out of that past issue so many make as an identifier of self.

What Actual Therapists Say

Ty delivers a powerful and timely message on how centering our lives on Christ not only offers hope for our futures but also freedom from our pasts. An appropriate and applicable service that focuses on truth as the source of our restoration.

Andrew Southerland, PhD, LPC, NCC

As a trauma therapist myself I can attest to the fact that what Ty brings to the table on this subject will have a huge and beneficial impact on those he is speaking to. It will allow people to slow down for a few moments and do in minuets what some spend years in therapy doing.

Dr. Ciara Freeman, D. Div, BCCC

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I was blown away by Ty’s take on trauma and working through it. Through gentle progression, the Lord uses Ty’s messages on trauma and inner healing to create a safe space where trauma can be processed, then released, and where God can fill the void.
